So what's a good place for me to go? I'm not a big sushi eater - or fish in general, I guess. Is there a restaurant for other Japanese food?

That's an excellent question!

Here are some dj picks!
-Indian - Karavalli (Latham)
-Greek - Athos (Western Ave)
-Italian - Macaroni Grill (Wolf Rd)
-Chinese - Plum Blossom (Troy)
-Thai - Blue Spice (Central Ave)

That should keep you busy for now!

You gave us a lot of options but didn't answer the question "Is there a restaurant for other Japanese food? "

Okinawa, Kotos, Hiros. I've been to all and they're pretty good/ decent Japanese Resturaunts. Indian I pick Shalimar and Royal India. I second Plum Blossom for Chinese. Moscatellos is my pick for italian. Never had greek or thai tho...

Jen and Myself went to a really nice Japanese restaurant on route 20. Was is Sakura? I can't remember! >_< Jen do you remember? It was past Sushi Tei I think, heading towards Albany.

If you want Japanese style ramen, Saso's has it back. That makes me VERY happy. They are tiny, but they have really good ramen. I need to go back there. http://www.sasos.com/index.html

Hiro's is okay, but I find them expensive because of their location and hype.

Its funny you mention ramen, my husband and I were talking about looking for a good local noodle shop. I would really like to check that out. Maybe we could go there sometime after new years.

I think they may be the only Japanese Noodle place in the area. If you ever get to Connecticon though, you need to go to Tanuki Noodle. They are THE best. SO GOOD :3

I also was going to see if anyone might want to go to Saso's after the New Year. Although, a big group is out of the question, as the restaurant is even smaller than Sushi Tei.
