Semi-formal attire, if that is what you need to know. If you wouldn't wear it to a nice job, I would say no.
I just wanted to point out something. I just noticed that NYC Sakura Matsuri will be going on May 1-2. So this may hinder plans if people are going to that.
Well, I guess this is going to postponed until another date is figured out.
