It's that time again, guys! The thread has been up for awhile on the genericon website, but I'm not sure if everyone's seen it there.
Genericon is having the match again this year! Our theme is living vs. the Dead. If you guys haven't signed up yet, I recommend you do! It should be a fun and amusing experience this year. I already have a lot of great entries, and we're already in for some silly battles for this coming game.

I've been thinking about signing up but I've never done anything like that before. What's it like? With the meetings before to the actual thing? (Behind the scenes~ )

Well, I will be sending out piece information after the deadline closes, and included will be a list of characters that your piece will be interacting with, as well as your piece and side. To keep it a little bit of a surprise, I won't be revealing whether or not the other pieces you interact with are people you kill, people who kill you, or what pieces they are. That way, if you want, you can look up the characters in question, just to have an idea of what you're getting into.

It's not certain yet, but we should be able to find a space to set up. While we're doing the techinical stuff like setting up the board, we can also talk about how the game is going to run, including how the stage directions are going to be read. We will also have the chance for people to practice their moves, to feel out their fellow chess pieces, and talk about the kinds of things everyone wants to do. You can also find me at my other panel, How to Make a Plushie, which should be running on Saturday morning.
