So I guess I'll update this! XD
I used drywall spackling, and it did help the ears out a lot. =)
Although next time I would suggest using foam or something for the ears, because the paper clay and drywall did not seem to like the spray paint X3 Although it colored it fine, painter's tape brought the paint on the ears right up, which was a problem when trying to color each half of the helmet and have a smooth line XD
But I'm almost done! I just got my suit from Milanoo in the mail. So I just need to tint the helmet's visor and gloss the helmet itself.

I'm still a little mad about the staining on the sides, but I think I've given up on trying to cover it. X3

The best thing to do if you have a dark color that you are trying to paint over, is using a more opaque lighter color first, like a few coats of white, then redoing the color that you want it to be. I say test this out first on a similar material to see if this will help.
