Decade Dinner ~ 1920's
#1
Information
**UPDATE**

We have a date/place/time for the Decade Dinner!

Date: May 1, 2010

Time: 7pm

Location: Delmonico's Italian Steak House on Central Ave. (http://www.delmonicositaliansteakhouse.com/)

If you want to participate in this event, I'll need an RSVP by April 26. I will not add any additional persons after that date.

Please contact me at UNYCosplay at gmail dot com if you wish to go. Put the subject as Decade Dinner.

PLEASE DO NOT POST HERE THAT YOU WANT TO GO PLEASE E-MAIL IT. This will help me organize everything better. The beginning of April I will be sending confirmations to make sure you are still able to attend.

If you have any questions about attire, feel free to post that here. Myself and other members can help you out. :3

Thank-YOU!

Hey everyone,
I've been throwing this idea around for a little and I'd like some feedback. Seeing as I'm totally in love with 1920's fashion, I'd like to organize a night where club members can get together for dinner dressed for the times. It wouldn't be a true club "event" or anything, just a fun thing to do for a night out.
If anyone has any ideas for a good, all ages friendly and reasonably priced venue, please let me know! I'd like to try to have it happen around April.

Thanks!

Jen

Delcomico's is a really nice Italian Steak House that has a sort of a 1920's theme. The hostesses always have on fedoras and pinstripe suits when I've been there.

Food is really good and is about $15-$25 a person depending on what you order. Hours and prices/menus are on their website at:

They do take reservations.

Wow, that's an interesting idea!
I'm definitely interested, but I might have to bunk out if I can't dress for the part :o

On the topic of diners... Alexis Diner (which you probably know about, since it's just a little down Rt4 from Rt43 XD) has an old-fashioned theme to it.

I think it was Mondays (when it's nice weather), they have many people with very old, well-kept cars drive them in to show off (and probably to eat too).

What about the Cheesecake Factory? It's got a really cool setting and the prices are pretty reasonable. Plus I think the food is pretty good and the portions are generous. I just feel if we have it somewhere too expensive, some may be turned away. Plus we could reserve a table if we get 8 or more people, that way we don't have to wait too long. ^_^ Plus it's really easy to get to and right in the middle of places. ^_^

Delmonaco's sounds great...it's also more of a local restaurant and I think they'd love what we'd be doing. What does everyone think would be a good date? I'd like to get a general headcount and reservation in.

As far as I know, Cheesecake Factory doesn't take reservations. But I don't think it's a long wait there anymore, like when it opened Big Grin

Let's shoot for mid-April. That should give us time to get organized, and it's kind of between events.
